Nimilo's learning loop is designed around demonstrated understanding rather than moving forward only because of age, grade, or completed lessons.

    Start with what the child knows

    A short diagnostic uses friendly activities rather than a long exam.

    Trace the prerequisite path

    The system looks beneath an incorrect answer to identify which earlier skill may be blocking progress.

    Choose a teaching approach

    The lesson may use spoken explanation, visual objects, a number line, drawing, word building, or guided hints.

    Respond to evidence

    If the child is stuck, Nimilo changes the representation or amount of help instead of simply repeating the question.

    Test transfer

    The child applies the idea in a new activity without copying the same worked example.

    Review later

    The skill returns after time has passed so the system can distinguish immediate success from retention.

    Explain the result to the parent

    Parents see what was taught, what remains difficult, what helped, and what is planned next.

A different blocker needs a different response.

A child struggles with a simple word problem. Instead of serving more arithmetic questions, Nimilo notices that the child understands the numbers but is unsure about the comparison word "fewer." It teaches the language through objects and spoken examples, then returns to a new math problem to check independent understanding.
